We do this through three key initiatives: ZGT Overzee, Hart voor Tanzania, and various other projects. Below you will find an overview of these initiatives and their impact.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ZGT Overzee<\/h2>\n\n<p>ZGT Overzee focuses on strengthening healthcare in various African countries. By providing medical professionals, equipment, and support, we help local hospitals improve their care. <\/p>\n\n<p>Some of our most important projects:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-checkmark-list\">\n<li><strong>Sierra Leone<\/strong>: Training for health professionals aimed at improving maternal and child care, including life-saving techniques for newborns.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tanzania<\/strong>: Support for the development of specialist care, including cardiology care and surgery.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Zambia<\/strong>: Assistance in improving hospital facilities by providing medical equipment and transferring knowledge to doctors and nurses.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ethiopia<\/strong>: Providing hospital beds and medical supplies to support local healthcare facilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Egypt<\/strong>: Collaboration with hospitals for specialist care and training of local staff.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hart voor Tanzania<\/h2>\n\n<p>One of our most ambitious projects is the construction of a specialized cardiac clinic in Moshi, Tanzania. This project was established to meet the growing need for cardiology care in the region. <\/p>\n\n<p>Key components of the project:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-checkmark-list\">\n<li><strong>Construction of a cardiac clinic<\/strong>: The clinic will be established within the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre (KCMC) and will provide specialist care to patients with cardiovascular diseases.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Knowledge transfer<\/strong>: Dutch cardiologists and medical specialists train local staff to ensure sustainable care.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Medical Equipment Supply<\/strong>: Modern medical instruments are donated to enable high-quality treatments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Thanks to the support of donors and partners, work is underway daily to realize this clinic, which will have a major impact on healthcare in the region.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Other Projects<\/h2>\n\n<p>In addition to the specific initiatives of ZGT Overzee and Hart voor Tanzania, Focus for Africa also supports various other projects that contribute to healthcare in different countries.<\/p>\n\n<p>Some examples of these projects:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-checkmark-list\">\n<li><strong>Medical supplies to Ukraine<\/strong>: Delivering essential medical supplies, such as hospital beds and equipment, to healthcare facilities in crisis areas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Various medical initiatives<\/strong>: From temporary medical missions to structural improvements in local hospitals, focused on both patient care and technical support.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Supporting healthcare institutions in multiple countries<\/strong>: By collaborating with local organizations and hospitals, we help healthcare workers be better prepared for the challenges they face every day.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Projects in and outside Africa!
