This initiative focuses on three key pillars:  <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-checkmark-list\">\n<li>ZGT Overzee<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hart voor Tanzania<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other projects \/ Collection of medical equipment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Through this website you can follow the progress of these projects, discover how you can contribute and stay informed of all developments.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What we do:<\/h2>\n\n<p>ZGT Overzee, founded on May 14, 2009, is committed to improving healthcare in underdeveloped regions. This is achieved by temporarily sending Dutch doctors, nurses, technicians, and IT specialists to hospitals in Africa and Eastern Europe. They support local staff with medical treatments, training, and technical expertise. In addition, medical supplies and equipment, such as hospital beds and diagnostic equipment, are donated to healthcare institutions in dire need. During his visit, he witnessed the dire shortages in healthcare: patients lying on the floor due to a shortage of beds, and babies being weighed due to a lack of incubators. This inspired him to establish a heart clinic.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Until recently, Tanzania, a country with 15 million inhabitants within KCMC&#8217;s service area, lacked a specialized cardiac clinic. With the support of Dutch cardiologists, hospitals, and other partners, construction of this clinic began in 2024. It will provide medical care and specialized treatments to patients with cardiovascular diseases. Construction will be carried out by local professionals, and knowledge transfer plays a crucial role in the training of Tanzanian doctors.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Would you like to contribute? Your support is essential to the construction and furnishing of this clinic. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Collection of medical equipment<\/h2>\n\n<p>In addition to providing medical personnel and building the cardiac clinic in Tanzania, we also collect essential medical equipment for hospitals and healthcare facilities in Africa. This includes hospital beds, wheelchairs, diagnostic equipment, and surgical instruments.
